Gift Wrapping 1: Customised Gift Wrap


It’s gift giving season! And we know the hassle of wrapping the gifts for various people. You need each gift to be personalise, but how many kind of design you need to come up with? This customised gift wrap instruction will show you to simply create various personalise gift wrap using simple materials.


Wrapping the box


- Material:

Kraft Paper

Double Sided Tape

Gift inside a box


- Steps:

1. Lay the craft paper flat and put the box on top.

2. Paste one of the end of the craft paper to the side of the box.

3. Put double sided tape on the other end of the craft paper.

4. Fold craft paper as it wraps the box. (Tips: press along the edge of the box to create clean look)

5. Sticks top and bottom end of the craft paper.

6. Start with the top part of the box, fold in one of the side of the craft paper until it touches the box. Press along the folding line.

7. Fold in the other side of the extra craft paper. Press along the folding line.

8. Fold in the two sides inwards, paste using double sided tape to secure.

9. Repeat steps 5-8 for the bottom side of the box.


Wrapping the box, pleated style


- Material:

Kraft Paper

Double Sided Tape

Clear Tape

Scissors

Gift inside a box


- Steps:

1. Lay the craft paper flat.

2. Start from the middle part of the paper, fold the paper in slanted manner.

3. Fold the paper back and forth, to create pleated look.

4. Secure the folds using clear tape.

5. Trim the excess.

6. Put the box on the side with clear tape.

7. Paste one of the end of the craft paper to the side of the box.

8. Put double sided tape on the other end of the craft paper.

9. Fold craft paper as it wraps the box.

(Tips: press along the edge of the box to create clean look)

10. Sticks top and bottom end of the craft paper.

11. Start with the top part of the box, fold in one of the side of the craft paper until it touches the box. Press along the folding line.

12. Fold in the other side of the extra craft paper. Press along the folding line.

13. Fold in the two sides inwards, paste using double sided tape to secure.

14. Repeat steps 5-8 for the bottom side of the box.

*Decoration*

Option 1: Fun and colourful look: Apply all purpose glue in a random dots and stick the pom-poms.

Option 2: Rustic look: Paste one end of the ribbon onto the box. Twirl the ribbon around the box, and paste the end of ribbon using all purpose glue to secure. To finish, paste dried flower and card.

Option 3: Sophisticated feminine look: Cut the lace ribbon according to the needed length and paste using all purpose glue.


Gift Wrapping 2: Wrapping Odd Shaped Items


We all have been there, we got a perfect gift but find it hard to fit it inside a perfect wrap. Or you got more than 1 gift and they all have different shape but need to put it as one. This instruction will show you how to beautifully wrap any odd shaped items.


Wrapping the box


- Material:

White Paper

Double Sided Tape

Gifts inside boxes

Transparent Gift Wrap

Clear Tape

Wire Ribbon

Ribbon

Decorations

All purpose glue


- Steps:

1. Lay the white paper flat and put the box on top.

2. Paste one of the end of the paper to the side of the box.

3. Put double sided tape on the other end of the paper.

4. Fold paper as it wraps the box. (Tips: press along the edge of the box to create clean look)

5. Sticks top and bottom end of the paper.

6. Fold in one of the side of the paper until it touches the box. Press along the folding line.

7. Fold in the other side of the extra paper. Press along the folding line.

8. Fold in the two sides inwards, paste using double sided tape to secure.

9. Repeat steps 5-8 for the other side of the box.

10. Follow the same steps for the other box


Putting it together

11. Paste the transparent gift wrap ends using clear tape, creating a loop.

12. Fold 15-20 cm of the bottom side.

13. Open up the fold creating a diamond shape.

14. Fold the pointy parts inwards and secure using clear tape. Now you have a transparent gift bag.

15. Insert the wrapped gift inside the bag.

16. Put decorations based on your liking to balance out the whole look.

17. Tie using wire ribbon, and add ribbons to finish.


Gift Wrapping 3: Mini Parcel


If you got gift inside a box, why not utilise it? Even more, why not make it fancier? Just by adding some simple material, you can create a cute mini parcel. This also allows you to express your creativity as you can add decoration as much as you want, based on your liking.


- Material:

Gift inside a box

Paper with prints

All purpose glue or double sided tape

Transparent gift wrap

Shredded paper

Decorations


- Steps:

1. Start with an empty carton box, find the glue spot, and cut where the glue is.

2. Put the carton box flat.

3. Paste the paper with prints on the carton box.

4. Cut the extra paper.

5. Do steps 3-4 to the other side of the carton, preferably with different prints.

6. Put the box in landscape position and paste the left and right side of the box.

7. Cut the extra cardboard that sticks out

8. Put on crumpled brown paper to hold the gift.

9. Put on the gift and cover the brown paper with shredded paper.

10. Insert card and decorations based on your liking.

11. Put the transparent wrap below the box.

12. Paste the transparent wrap on the bottom of the box using clear tape.

13. Fold and secure the sides, secure using clear tape.
